योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-6, verse-35

संसारजङ्गले शून्ये दग्धं नरमृगं शठाः ।
आश्वास्याश्वास्य निघ्नन्ति विषयेन्द्रियलुब्धकाः ॥ ३५ ॥
saṃsārajaṅgale śūnye dagdhaṃ naramṛgaṃ śaṭhāḥ ,

35. In the desolate jungle of worldly existence (saṃsāra), these deceitful hunters, who are the sense objects and the senses (indriya), repeatedly reassure the human-beast who is already scorched by distress, only to then strike him down.
