योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-163, verse-30

यथावयविनो रूपमेकं सावयवं भवेत् ।
एकं जीवाद्यवयवं ब्रह्मानवयवं तथा ॥ ३० ॥

yathāvayavino rūpamekaṃ sāvayavaṃ bhavet ,
ekaṃ jīvādyavayavaṃ brahmānavayavaṃ tathā 30

30. yathā avayavinaḥ rūpam ekam sāvayavam bhavet
ekam jīvādyavayavam brahma anavayavam tathā

30. Just as a single form belonging to a composite entity (avayavin) itself possesses parts, similarly, the one Brahman, though inherently partless (anavayava), appears as if it has living beings (jīva) and other entities as its constituents.
