चित्प्रकाशो यथाभानं यदा भावयति स्वयम् ।
स्वात्मा तथा तदेवाशु पश्यसीत्यसि दृष्टवान् ॥ ४३ ॥

citprakāśo yathābhānaṃ yadā bhāvayati svayam ,

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: 'When the light of consciousness (citprakāśa) itself spontaneously manifests, resembling an appearance (ābhāna), then you immediately perceive that very manifestation as your own essential self (ātman); it is in this way that you have truly observed it.'
