असद्रूपस्य दृश्यस्य कारणाभावतः सदा ।
दृश्यतास्येत्यपि प्रौढिनिर्देशस्यात्यसंभवात् ॥ ३४ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Because there is perpetually an absence of a cause for the visible object (dṛśya) which is unreal, and because it is utterly impossible to strongly assert the reality of its visibility.
