पुरुषो न शरीरादि न च चित्तादि किंचन ।
पुरुषश्चेतनं नाम न स नश्यति कर्हिचित् ॥ ५९ ॥

59. The supreme cosmic person (puruṣa) is not the body or its parts, nor is it anything like the mind or its functions. The puruṣa is truly consciousness itself, and it never perishes.
