योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-102, verse-21

अश्ववद्ब्रह्मचर्येण चरन्तोऽचारुचेतसः ।
मिथ्यातपस्विदार्ढ्याय भवन्त्येवंविधा मुने ॥ २१ ॥
aśvavadbrahmacaryeṇa caranto'cārucetasaḥ ,
mithyātapasvidārḍhyāya bhavantyevaṃvidhā mune 21
21. aśvavat brahmacaryeṇa carantaḥ acārucetasas |
mithyātapasvidārḍhyāya bhavanti evaṁvidhāḥ mune ||
21. mune aśvavat brahmacaryeṇa carantaḥ acārucetasas
mithyātapasvidārḍhyāya evaṁvidhāḥ bhavanti
21. O sage, those who practice celibacy (brahmacarya) merely outwardly, like a horse, and whose minds are impure (acārucetasaḥ), become this way, striving for the firmness of their false asceticism (tapas).
