ततः क्रमेण तपसा शास्त्रार्थनियमैः क्रमैः ।
विवेक आजगामैनं नवर्तुरिव भूतलम् ॥ १५ ॥

tataḥ krameṇa tapasā śāstrārthaniyamaiḥ kramaiḥ ,
viveka ājagāmainaṃ navarturiva bhūtalam 15

15. Then, gradually, through spiritual austerity (tapas), by following rules of scriptural meaning, and through various practices, discernment (viveka) came to him, just as a new season arrives on the earth.
