59. He was King Pauṇḍra in the Solar dynasty (Sūryavaṃśa); a ruler in the Sauraśālva region; then for an entire aeon (kalpam) he was a glorious (śrīmān) Vidyādhara, and thereafter, a wise (dhīmān) son of a sage.
