आसीद्विप्रो दशार्णेषु कोसलेषु महीपतिः ।
धीवरोऽथ महाटव्यां हंसस्त्रिपथगातटे ॥ ५८ ॥

58. He was a Brahmin in the Daśārṇa country, a king in Kosala, then a fisherman in a great forest, and a swan on the bank of the Tripathagā (Ganges).
