बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-6, verse-7

राशित्रिभागाद्रेष्काणास्ते च षट्त्रिंशदीरिताः ।
परिवृत्तित्रयं तेषां मेषादेः क्रमशो भवेत् ॥७॥
7. rāśitribhāgādreṣkāṇāste ca ṣaṭtriṃśadīritāḥ .
parivṛttitrayaṃ teṣāṃ meṣādeḥ kramaśo bhavet.
7. rāśitribhāgāt dreṣkāṇāḥ te ca ṣaṭtriṃśat īritāḥ
parivṛttitrayam teṣām meṣādeḥ kramaśaḥ bhavet
7. Decanates (dreṣkāṇa) are said to be the three parts of a zodiacal sign, and there are thirty-six of them. Their three cycles occur in order, starting from Aries.
