मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-22, verse-44

अर्थिनां मित्रवर्गस्य विद्विषाञ्च पराङ्मुखः ।
यो न याति पिता तेन पुत्री माता च वीरसूः ॥४४॥
44. arthināṃ mitravargasya vidviṣāñca parāṅmukhaḥ .
yo na yāti pitā tena putrī mātā ca vīrasūḥ.

yaḥ na yāti pitā tena putrī mātā ca vīrasūḥ
44. A father who turns his back on petitioners, his circle of friends, and his enemies—due to him, neither his daughter nor his mother is considered to have borne heroes.
