मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-22, verse-32

इयञ्च सत्कुलोत्पन्ना भर्तर्येवमनुव्रतां ।
कथन्नु शोच्या नारीणां भर्तुरन्यन्न दैवतम् ॥३२॥
32. iyañca satkulotpannā bhartaryevamanuvratāṃ .
kathannu śocyā nārīṇāṃ bharturanyanna daivatam.
32. iyam ca sat-kula-utpannā bhartari evam anuvratām
katham nu śocyā nārīṇām bhartuḥ anyat na daivatam
32. And this woman, born of a good family, who is thus devoted to her husband – how can she be lamented among women, for whom there is no other deity (daivatam) than her husband?
