मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-22, verse-31

अवश्यं याति यद्देहं तद्द्विजानां कृते यदि ।
मम पुत्रेण संत्यक्तं नन्वभ्युदयकारि तत् ॥३१॥
31. avaśyaṃ yāti yaddehaṃ taddvijānāṃ kṛte yadi .
mama putreṇa saṃtyaktaṃ nanvabhyudayakāri tat.
31. avaśyam yāti yat deham tat dvijānām kṛte yadi
mama putreṇa saṃtyaktam nanu abhyudaya-kāri tat
31. If the body, which must inevitably perish, was abandoned by my son for the sake of brahmins, then surely that act leads to prosperity.
