मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-22, verse-23

पुत्रावूचतुः ।
इत्युक्त्वोत्सृज्य दत्भूमौ स जगाम यथागतम् ।
निपपात जनः सोऽथ शोकार्तो मूर्च्छयाऽतुरः ॥२३॥
23. putrāvūcatuḥ .
ityuktvotsṛjya datbhūmau sa jagāma yathāgatam .
nipapāta janaḥ so'tha śokārto mūrcchayā'turaḥ.
23. putrau ūcatuḥ iti uktvā utsṛjya dat bhūmau saḥ jagāma yathā
āgatam nipapāta janaḥ saḥ atha śoka ārtaḥ mūrcchayā āturaḥ
23. The two sons recounted: Having thus spoken, and having cast it on the ground, he departed the way he had come. Then that person (the king), afflicted by grief and distressed by fainting, collapsed.
