मातोवाच ।
न मे मात्रा न मे स्वस्त्रा प्राप्ता प्रीतिर्नृपेदृशी ।
श्रुत्वा मुनिपरित्राणे हतं पुत्रं यथा मया ॥४१॥

na me mātrā na me svastrā prāptā prītirnṛpedṛśī .
śrutvā muniparitrāṇe hataṃ putraṃ yathā mayā.

The mother said: 'O King, I have never experienced such joy from my mother or my sister as I have now, having heard that my son was slain while protecting the sage.'
