आनृण्यमर्धभुक्तस्य त्यागाद् देहस्य मे सुतः ॥३८॥

38. viprāṇaṃ mama dharmasya gataḥ sa hi mahāmatiḥ .

Indeed, that great-minded son of mine, by sacrificing his body—a life only half-lived—fulfilled his debt concerning Brahmins and my own sacred duty (dharma).
