मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-22, verse-38

विप्राणं मम धर्मस्य गतः स हि महामतिः ।
आनृण्यमर्धभुक्तस्य त्यागाद् देहस्य मे सुतः ॥३८॥
38. viprāṇaṃ mama dharmasya gataḥ sa hi mahāmatiḥ .
ānṛṇyamardhabhuktasya tyāgād dehasya me sutaḥ.

ānṛṇyam ardhabhuktasya tyāgāt dehasya me sutaḥ
38. Indeed, that great-minded son of mine, by sacrificing his body—a life only half-lived—fulfilled his debt concerning Brahmins and my own sacred duty (dharma).
