महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-24, verse-48

संप्रयुद्धा वयं पञ्च किरीटिशरपीडिताः ।
धृष्टद्युम्नं महानीकं तत्र नोऽभूद्रणो महान् ।
जितास्तेन वयं सर्वे व्यपयाम रणात्ततः ॥४८॥
48. saṁprayuddhā vayaṁ pañca kirīṭiśarapīḍitāḥ ,
dhṛṣṭadyumnaṁ mahānīkaṁ tatra no'bhūdraṇo mahān ,
jitāstena vayaṁ sarve vyapayāma raṇāttataḥ.

dhṛṣṭadyumnam mahā-anīkam
tatra naḥ abhūt raṇaḥ mahān jitāḥ tena

48. We five, afflicted by the arrows of Kiriṭin (Arjuna), engaged in battle with Dhṛṣṭadyumna's great army. There, a mighty battle occurred for us. We were all defeated by him, and consequently, we retreated from that battle.
