महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-24, verse-45

दृष्ट्वा तु तानापततः संप्रहृष्टान्महारथान् ।
पराक्रान्तांस्ततो वीरान्निराशाञ्जीविते तदा ।
विवर्णमुखभूयिष्ठमभवत्तावकं बलम् ॥४५॥
45. dṛṣṭvā tu tānāpatataḥ saṁprahṛṣṭānmahārathān ,
parākrāntāṁstato vīrānnirāśāñjīvite tadā ,
vivarṇamukhabhūyiṣṭhamabhavattāvakaṁ balam.
45. dṛṣṭvā tu tān āpatataḥ samprahṛṣṭān
mahārathān parākrāntān tataḥ
vīrān nirāśān jīvite tadā
vivarṇamukhabhūyiṣṭham abhavat tāvakaṃ balam
45. tu tān āpatataḥ samprahṛṣṭān parākrāntān mahārathān dṛṣṭvā,
tadā tāvakaṃ balam vīrān jīvite nirāśān vivarṇamukhabhūyiṣṭham abhavat
45. But when your army saw those greatly delighted and mighty great charioteers (the Pāṇḍavas) attacking, at that time, your warriors became mostly pale-faced and utterly hopeless about their lives.
