महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-97, verse-8

निर्जित्य समरे द्रोणं कृतिनं युद्धदुर्मदम् ।
यथा पशुगणान्सिंहस्तद्वद्धन्ता सुतान्मम ॥८॥
8. nirjitya samare droṇaṁ kṛtinaṁ yuddhadurmadam ,
yathā paśugaṇānsiṁhastadvaddhantā sutānmama.

yathā paśu-gaṇān siṃhaḥ tad-vat hantā sutān mama
8. yathā siṃhaḥ paśu-gaṇān (hanti),

8. Having conquered Droṇa, the accomplished and battle-intoxicated, in battle, just as a lion slays herds of animals, so will he slay my sons.
