महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-61, verse-15

द्रोणपुत्रं महेष्वासं गायना नर्तकाश्च ये ।
अत्यर्थमुपतिष्ठन्ति तेषां न श्रूयते ध्वनिः ॥१५॥
15. droṇaputraṁ maheṣvāsaṁ gāyanā nartakāśca ye ,
atyarthamupatiṣṭhanti teṣāṁ na śrūyate dhvaniḥ.
15. droṇaputram maheṣvāsam gāyanāḥ nartakāḥ ca ye
atyartham upatiṣṭhanti teṣām na śrūyate dhvaniḥ
15. ye gāyanāḥ ca nartakāḥ droṇaputram maheṣvāsam
atyartham upatiṣṭhanti teṣām dhvaniḥ na śrūyate
15. The sound of those singers and dancers who used to serve Droṇa's son, the great archer, is not heard now.
