महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-80, verse-36

विरथं चैनमालोक्य हताश्वं हतसारथिम् ।
महता शरवर्षेण छादयामास संयुगे ॥३६॥
36. virathaṁ cainamālokya hatāśvaṁ hatasārathim ,
mahatā śaravarṣeṇa chādayāmāsa saṁyuge.
36. viratham ca enam ālokya hata-aśvaṃ hata-sārathiṃ
mahatā śara-varṣeṇa chādayāmāsa saṃyuge
36. ca enaṃ viratham hata-aśvaṃ hata-sārathiṃ
ālokya saṃyuge mahatā śara-varṣeṇa chādayāmāsa
36. And seeing him (Dhṛṣṭaketu) chariot-less, with his horses and charioteer slain, Bhuriśravas covered him in battle with a great shower of arrows.
