महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-80, verse-26

तामापतन्तीं विमलामश्मगर्भां महागदाम् ।
शरैरनेकसाहस्रैर्वारयामास गौतमः ॥२६॥
26. tāmāpatantīṁ vimalāmaśmagarbhāṁ mahāgadām ,
śarairanekasāhasrairvārayāmāsa gautamaḥ.

26. With many thousands of arrows, Gautama warded off that great mace, which was gleaming, approaching, and made of stone.
