अथापरेण भल्लेन धनुश्चिच्छेद मारिष ।
सारथिं चास्य समरे क्षिप्रहस्तो न्यपातयत् ।
हयांश्चास्यावधीद्राजन्नुभौ च पार्ष्णिसारथी ॥२२॥

22. athāpareṇa bhallena dhanuściccheda māriṣa ,
sārathiṁ cāsya samare kṣiprahasto nyapātayat ,
hayāṁścāsyāvadhīdrājannubhau ca pārṣṇisārathī.

22. atha apareṇa bhallena dhanuḥ ciccheda
māriṣa sārathim ca asya samare
kṣiprahastaḥ nyapātayat hayān ca asya
avadhīt rājan ubhau ca pārṣṇisārathī

22. māriṣa atha apareṇa bhallena (saḥ) dhanuḥ ciccheda.
kṣiprahastaḥ (saḥ) asya sārathim ca samare nyapātayat.

22. Then, O respected one, with another broad-headed arrow, he cut (Chekitāna's) bow. The quick-handed (Kṛpa) also struck down his charioteer in battle. And, O King, he killed Chekitāna's horses and both his auxiliary charioteers.
