महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-7, verse-53

ताम्रवर्णः शिरो राजञ्श्रीमान्मलयपर्वतः ।
एतद्द्वितीयं द्वीपस्य दृश्यते शशसंस्थितम् ॥५३॥
53. tāmravarṇaḥ śiro rājañśrīmānmalayaparvataḥ ,
etaddvitīyaṁ dvīpasya dṛśyate śaśasaṁsthitam.

53. O King, the splendid Malaya mountain, which is copper-colored, forms the head. This second part of the continent (dvīpa) is seen to have the shape of a hare.
