महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-126, verse-7

तदिदं व्यसनं घोरं त्वया द्यूतमुखं कृतम् ।
असमीक्ष्य सदाचारैः सार्धं पापानुबन्धनैः ॥७॥
7. tadidaṁ vyasanaṁ ghoraṁ tvayā dyūtamukhaṁ kṛtam ,
asamīkṣya sadācāraiḥ sārdhaṁ pāpānubandhanaiḥ.
7. tat idam vyasanam ghoram tvayā dyūta-mukham kṛtam
asamīkṣya sadā-cāraiḥ sārdham pāpa-anubandhanaiḥ
7. tvayā tat idam ghoram dyūta-mukham vyasanam asamīkṣya (sadā-cāraiḥ) pāpa-anubandhanaiḥ sārdham kṛtam.
7. This dreadful calamity, with gambling at its forefront, has been brought about by you thoughtlessly, without consulting virtuous people, and by associating with those bound by sinful actions.
