महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-126, verse-6

अक्षद्यूतं महाप्राज्ञ सतामरतिनाशनम् ।
असतां तत्र जायन्ते भेदाश्च व्यसनानि च ॥६॥
6. akṣadyūtaṁ mahāprājña satāmaratināśanam ,
asatāṁ tatra jāyante bhedāśca vyasanāni ca.

asatām tatra jāyante bhedāḥ ca vyasanāni ca
6. mahā-prājña,
akṣa-dyūtam satām arati-nāśanam; tatra ca asatām bhedāḥ ca vyasanāni jāyante.
6. O greatly wise one, dice-gambling destroys the aversion (to vice) in the virtuous; but for the wicked, divisions and misfortunes arise from it.
