पितामहः शांतनवः शमं संपूजयिष्यति ।
आचार्यो विदुरः क्षत्ता शममेव वदिष्यतः ।
कृपश्च संजयश्चैव शममेव वदिष्यतः ॥४५॥

45. pitāmahaḥ śāṁtanavaḥ śamaṁ saṁpūjayiṣyati ,
ācāryo viduraḥ kṣattā śamameva vadiṣyataḥ ,

45. Grandfather Bhīṣma, the son of Śāntanu, will greatly honor peace (śama). The teacher Vidura and the chamberlain will speak only of peace (śama). Kṛpa and Sanjaya also will speak only of peace (śama).
