महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-30, verse-33

आक्रुष्टस्ताडितः क्रुद्धः क्षमते यो बलीयसा ।
यश्च नित्यं जितक्रोधो विद्वानुत्तमपूरुषः ॥३३॥
33. ākruṣṭastāḍitaḥ kruddhaḥ kṣamate yo balīyasā ,
yaśca nityaṁ jitakrodho vidvānuttamapūruṣaḥ.
33. ākruṣṭaḥ tāḍitaḥ kruddhaḥ kṣamate yaḥ balīyasā
yaḥ ca nityam jitakrodhaḥ vidvān uttamapūruṣaḥ
33. The one who, though reviled, beaten, and angered by a stronger person, still forgives; and the one who has constantly conquered anger, is truly a wise and supreme person (uttamapūruṣa).
