महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-261, verse-54

तमतीत्याथ गोकर्णमभ्यगच्छद्दशाननः ।
दयितं स्थानमव्यग्रं शूलपाणेर्महात्मनः ॥५४॥
54. tamatītyātha gokarṇamabhyagacchaddaśānanaḥ ,
dayitaṁ sthānamavyagraṁ śūlapāṇermahātmanaḥ.
54. tam atītya atha gokarṇam abhyagacchat daśānanaḥ
dayitam sthānam avyagram śūlapāṇeḥ mahātmanaḥ
54. Having crossed over that (ocean), Daśānana (Rāvaṇa) then proceeded to Gokarṇa, the beloved and tranquil abode of the great-souled (mahātman) Śūlapāṇi (Śiva).
