महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-261, verse-23

धनं ददानि कस्याद्य ह्रियतां कस्य वा पुनः ।
ब्राह्मणस्वादिहान्यत्र यत्किंचिद्वित्तमस्ति मे ॥२३॥
23. dhanaṁ dadāni kasyādya hriyatāṁ kasya vā punaḥ ,
brāhmaṇasvādihānyatra yatkiṁcidvittamasti me.
23. dhanam dadāni kasya adya hriyatām kasya vā punaḥ
brāhmaṇasvāt iha anyatra yat kiñcit vittam asti me
23. To whom shall I give wealth now? Or from whom shall it be taken away? [Choose from] whatever wealth I possess, either here or elsewhere, excluding a Brahmin's property.
