महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-180, verse-45

तमप्यथ महात्मानं सर्वे तु पुरुषर्षभाः ।
पाद्यार्घ्याभ्यां यथान्यायमुपतस्थुर्मनीषिणम् ॥४५॥
45. tamapyatha mahātmānaṁ sarve tu puruṣarṣabhāḥ ,
pādyārghyābhyāṁ yathānyāyamupatasthurmanīṣiṇam.
45. tam api atha mahātmānam sarve tu puruṣarṣabhāḥ
pādyārghyābhyām yathānyāyam upatasthuḥ manīṣiṇam
45. Then, all those leading men (puruṣarṣabha) honored that great-souled (mahā-ātman) and wise one properly, with water for the feet and a respectful offering.
