महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-154, verse-33

प्रियेषु चरमाणं त्वां न चैवाप्रियकारिणम् ।
अतिथिं ब्रह्मरूपं च कथं हन्यामनागसम् ।
राक्षसं मन्यमानोऽपि यो हन्यान्नरकं व्रजेत् ॥३३॥
33. priyeṣu caramāṇaṁ tvāṁ na caivāpriyakāriṇam ,
atithiṁ brahmarūpaṁ ca kathaṁ hanyāmanāgasam ,
rākṣasaṁ manyamāno'pi yo hanyānnarakaṁ vrajet.
33. priyeṣu caramāṇam tvām na ca eva
apriyakāriṇam atithim brahmarūpam ca
katham hanyām anāgasam rākṣasam
manyamānaḥ api yaḥ hanyāt narakam vrajet
33. How could I kill you, who are engaged in agreeable actions and are not doing anything harmful, a guest (atithi) and in the form of a brahmin (brahmarūpa), and who are innocent (anāgasa)? Indeed, whoever kills [such a person], even considering him a demon (rākṣasa), would certainly go to hell (naraka).
