महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-96, verse-8

केचिद्बिसान्यखनंस्तत्र राजन्नन्ये मृणालान्यखनंस्तत्र विप्राः ।
अथापश्यन्पुष्करं ते ह्रियन्तं ह्रदादगस्त्येन समुद्धृतं वै ॥८॥
8. kecidbisānyakhanaṁstatra rāja;nnanye mṛṇālānyakhanaṁstatra viprāḥ ,
athāpaśyanpuṣkaraṁ te hriyantaṁ; hradādagastyena samuddhṛtaṁ vai.

8. O King, some of them dug up lotus stalks there, while other Brahmins dug up lotus roots there. Then they saw a lotus being carried away from the lake, indeed, lifted out by Agastya.
