महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-96, verse-29

अम्बरीष उवाच ।
नृशंसस्त्यक्तधर्मोऽस्तु स्त्रीषु ज्ञातिषु गोषु च ।
ब्राह्मणं चापि जहतु यस्ते हरति पुष्करम् ॥२९॥
29. ambarīṣa uvāca ,
nṛśaṁsastyaktadharmo'stu strīṣu jñātiṣu goṣu ca ,
brāhmaṇaṁ cāpi jahatu yaste harati puṣkaram.
29. ambarīṣaḥ uvāca | nṛśaṃsaḥ tyaktadharmaḥ astu strīṣu jñātiṣu
goṣu ca | brāhmaṇam ca api jahatu yaḥ te harati puṣkaram
29. ambarīṣaḥ uvāca yaḥ te puṣkaram harati,
saḥ strīṣu,
jñātiṣu,
goṣu ca nṛśaṃsaḥ tyaktadharmaḥ astu,
ca brāhmaṇam api jahatu
29. Ambarīṣa said: "Let him who takes your lotus (puṣkaram) be cruel and abandon his proper conduct (dharma) towards women, relatives, and cows, and let him also abandon a Brahmin."
