महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-96, verse-13

पुरा प्रपश्यामि परेण मर्त्यान्बलीयसा दुर्बलान्भुज्यमानान् ।
तस्माद्यास्यामि परलोकं चिराय न ह्युत्सहे द्रष्टुमीदृङ्नृलोके ॥१३॥
13. purā prapaśyāmi pareṇa martyā;nbalīyasā durbalānbhujyamānān ,
tasmādyāsyāmi paralokaṁ cirāya; na hyutsahe draṣṭumīdṛṅnṛloke.
13. purā prapaśyāmi pareṇa martyān
balīyasā durbalān bhujyamānān
tasmāt yāsyāmi paralokam cirāya
na hi utsahe draṣṭum īdṛk nṛloke
13. purā aham martyān durbalān balīyasā pareṇa bhujyamānān prapaśyāmi,
tasmāt (aham) cirāya paralokam yāsyāmi,
hi nṛloke īdṛk draṣṭum na utsahe.
13. Before I fully witness the weak among mortals being devoured by the stronger ones; for that reason, I will go to the other world permanently, as I truly cannot bear to see such a state in the human realm.
