महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-99, verse-44

न ह्यन्नं नोदकं तस्य न स्नानं नाप्यशौचकम् ।
हतस्य कर्तुमिच्छन्ति तस्य लोकाञ्शृणुष्व मे ॥४४॥

44. na hyannaṁ nodakaṁ tasya na snānaṁ nāpyaśaucakam ,
hatasya kartumicchanti tasya lokāñśṛṇuṣva me.

44. na hi annam na udakam tasya na snānam na api aśaucakam
hatasya kartum icchanti tasya lokān śṛṇuṣva me

44. Indeed, for the one slain (hata), no offerings of food, no water, no ritual bathing, nor even a period of ritual impurity (aśauca) is desired to be performed. Now, hear from me about the worlds (lokāḥ) he attains.
