महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-99, verse-15

इन्द्र उवाच ।
ऋत्विजः कुञ्जरास्तत्र वाजिनोऽध्वर्यवस्तथा ।
हवींषि परमांसानि रुधिरं त्वाज्यमेव च ॥१५॥
15. indra uvāca ,
ṛtvijaḥ kuñjarāstatra vājino'dhvaryavastathā ,
havīṁṣi paramāṁsāni rudhiraṁ tvājyameva ca.
15. indraḥ uvāca ṛtvijaḥ kuñjarāḥ tatra vājinaḥ adhvaryavaḥ
tathā havīṃṣi paramāṃsāni rudhiram tu ājyam eva ca

15. Indra said: There, the elephants (kuñjara) are the priests (ṛtvij), and likewise, the horses (vājin) are the adhvaryu priests. The oblations (havis) are prime meats, and blood (rudhira) is indeed the clarified butter (ājya).
