महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-187, verse-6

प्रसार्य च यथाङ्गानि कूर्मः संहरते पुनः ।
तद्वद्भूतानि भूतात्मा सृष्ट्वा संहरते पुनः ॥६॥

6. Just as a tortoise (kūrmaḥ), having stretched out its limbs (aṅgāni), retracts them again, similarly, the Self of beings (bhūtātmā), having created beings (bhūtāni), withdraws them again.
