महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-187, verse-50

एवमेके व्यवस्यन्ति निवृत्तिरिति चापरे ।
उभयं संप्रधार्यैतदध्यवस्येद्यथामति ॥५०॥
50. evameke vyavasyanti nivṛttiriti cāpare ,
ubhayaṁ saṁpradhāryaitadadhyavasyedyathāmati.

ubhayam saṃpradhārya etat adhyavasyet yathāmati
50. eke evam nivṛttiḥ iti vyavasyanti ca apare

50. Some thus resolve on cessation (nivṛtti), while others (resolve on engagement). Having carefully considered both of these views, one should decide according to their own understanding.
