महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-187, verse-32

अथ यन्मोहसंयुक्तमव्यक्तमिव यद्भवेत् ।
अप्रतर्क्यमविज्ञेयं तमस्तदुपधारयेत् ॥३२॥
32. atha yanmohasaṁyuktamavyaktamiva yadbhavet ,
apratarkyamavijñeyaṁ tamastadupadhārayet.

32. Now, that which is associated with delusion (moha), which may appear unmanifest, is incomprehensible, and unknowable—one should understand that to be darkness (tamas).
