महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-187, verse-17

इति तन्मयमेवैतत्सर्वं स्थावरजङ्गमम् ।
प्रलीयते चोद्भवति तस्मान्निर्दिश्यते तथा ॥१७॥
17. iti tanmayamevaitatsarvaṁ sthāvarajaṅgamam ,
pralīyate codbhavati tasmānnirdiśyate tathā.

pralīyate ca udbhavati tasmāt nirdiśyate tathā

17. Thus, this entire creation, both the stationary and the moving, is indeed constituted by that (principle, referring to the *guṇas* and *buddhi* from the previous verse). It (this creation) dissolves and also arises. Therefore, it is described in this way.
