इति विश्रान्तवानेष मनोहरिणकोऽरिहन् ।
तत्रैव रतिमायाति न याति विटपान्तरम् ॥ १ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: O destroyer of enemies, this mind-deer (manohariṇaka), having thus found rest, delights in that very place (of tranquility) and does not go to another branch.
