योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-53, verse-52

मुक्ताफलशतौघानां तन्तुः प्रोतवपुर्यथा ।
तथायं देहलक्षाणां स्थित आत्मास्त्यलक्षितः ॥ ५२ ॥

tathāyaṃ dehalakṣāṇāṃ sthita ātmāstyalakṣitaḥ 52

52. muktā-phala-śataughānām tantuḥ prota-vapuḥ yathā
tathā ayam deha-lakṣāṇām sthitaḥ ātmā asti alakṣitaḥ

52. yathā muktā-phala-śataughānām tantuḥ prota-vapuḥ
tathā ayam ātmā deha-lakṣāṇām sthitaḥ alakṣitaḥ asti

52. Just as a thread (tantu) passes through hundreds of pearl necklaces, so too is this Self (ātman) situated within millions of bodies, yet it remains unperceived.

52. כמו חוט העובר דרך מאות פנינים ומחזיק אותן, כך העצמי שוכן בלתי נראה בתוך מאות אלפי הגופים.
