योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-53, verse-61

नानाकारविकारेषु तरङ्गेषु यथा पयः ।
कटकादिषु वा हेम भूतेष्वात्मा तथाऽर्जुन ॥ ६१ ॥

61. O Arjuna, just as water exists within waves of various forms and modifications, or as gold exists within bracelets and other ornaments, so too does the Self (ātman) exist within all beings.
