Pure consciousness (vyoma) itself experiences a transparent delusion, 'I am the world,' a delusion whose form is consciousness (vyoma) itself. The individual soul (jīva), whose very nature is consciousness (vyoma), is then born, as it were, as an entity possessing an individual self (ātman).
