वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-41, verse-45

अस्यामायत्तमस्माकं यत् कृत्यं रघुनन्दन ।
अहमेनं वधिष्यामि ग्रहीष्याम्यथ वा मृगम् ॥४५॥
45. asyāmāyattamasmākaṃ yat kṛtyaṃ raghunandana ,
ahamenaṃ vadhiṣyāmi grahīṣyāmyatha vā mṛgam.
45. asyām āyattam asmākam yat kṛtyam raghunandana
aham enam vadhiṣyāmi grahīṣyāmi atha vā mṛgam
45. raghunandana,
yat asmākam kṛtyam asyām āyattam.
aham enam mṛgam vadhiṣyāmi,
atha vā grahīṣyāmi.
45. O son of Raghu (Raghunandana), our entire endeavor (kṛtya) is dependent on her (Sita). Therefore, I will either kill this deer or capture it.
