वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-41, verse-44

भवेद्धतो ऽयं वातापिरगस्त्येनेव मा गतिः ।
इह त्वं भव संनद्धो यन्त्रितो रक्ष मैथिलीम् ॥४४॥
44. bhaveddhato'yaṃ vātāpiragastyeneva mā gatiḥ ,
iha tvaṃ bhava saṃnaddho yantrito rakṣa maithilīm.
44. bhavet hataḥ ayam vātāpiḥ agastyena iva mā gatiḥ
iha tvam bhava sannaddhaḥ yantritaḥ rakṣa maithilīm
44. ayam vātāpiḥ agastyena iva hataḥ bhavet; mā gatiḥ.
iha tvam sannaddhaḥ yantritaḥ bhava,
maithilīm rakṣa.
44. May this (demon) be killed just as Vātāpi was by Agastya, so that such a fate (gati) does not befall me. Therefore, you remain here, vigilant and self-controlled, protecting Maithili (Sita).
