When planets are situated in seven successive houses starting from the Ascendant (lagna), it is Naukā yoga. When planets are situated in seven successive houses starting from the fourth house, it is Kūṭa yoga. Similarly, when planets are in seven successive houses starting from the seventh house, it is called Chatra yoga. When planets are in seven successive houses starting from the tenth house (madhya), it is Cāpa yoga.
