महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-86, verse-5

न मे धनंजयस्यार्थे प्राणा रक्ष्याः कथंचन ।
त्वत्प्रयुक्तः पुनरहं किं न कुर्यां महाहवे ॥५॥
5. na me dhanaṁjayasyārthe prāṇā rakṣyāḥ kathaṁcana ,
tvatprayuktaḥ punarahaṁ kiṁ na kuryāṁ mahāhave.
5. na me dhanañjayasya arthe prāṇāḥ rakṣyāḥ kathaṃcana
tvatprayuktaḥ punaḥ aham kim na kuryām mahāhave
5. kathaṃcana me prāṇāḥ dhanañjayasya arthe na rakṣyāḥ
punaḥ tvatprayuktaḥ aham mahāhave kim na kuryām
5. My very life (prāṇāḥ) should certainly not be preserved for the sake of Dhanañjaya (Arjuna). But what would I not do, impelled by you, in a great battle?
