महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-73, verse-48

अस्त्रे ते वारुणाग्नेये ताभ्यां बाणसमाहिते ।
न तावदभिषज्येते व्यावर्तदथ भास्करः ॥४८॥
48. astre te vāruṇāgneye tābhyāṁ bāṇasamāhite ,
na tāvadabhiṣajyete vyāvartadatha bhāskaraḥ.

48. Those two weapons, the watery and the fiery, released by those two (wielders) with arrows, did not immediately collide (or neutralize each other). Thereupon, the sun withdrew.
